This group of classes, as well as performing Mat Pilates exercises, provides combinations of movements which get your Mind and Body working together to improve neuroplasticity.
We work the visual and vestibular systems as well as co-ordinating movements to get up and down off the floor. A little bit of everything to create a fusion of mat movements.
Helping fire up our cerebellum by working on our balance and vestibular system. Try some balance drills and then complete the reset for the vestibular system and see if it is any better? A bit like magic really!!
Playing games to help stimulate the cerebellum and help our co-ordination.
Accuracy relates to the proprioceptive awareness of where our body is in space. I have provided you with some drills to help your proprioception but it is helpful to have a partner to help you with them as it is hard to do by yourself! Please also set up the finger tapping exercise on the other side shutting the other eye.
We are standing for most of this routine and working specifically with functional movements, balance, vision and the vestibular system. A class to do more than once!
We are using small weights in the class as well as having a chair handy to keep us feeling safe.
Prepare to stretch and move your body in ways that it isn’t used to! Each stretch flows into the next. Make sure you have a bit of space around you so you don’t run into any furniture.
Grab a small towel and we are working on our vestibular/balance system. There are some coordination/agility movements also thrown in for maximum benefit.

This class works on good firing patterns to make your muscles work. Standing strength work to start followed by fun floorwork. A steady paced class with challenges for everyone.

This routine plays with balance and making mind/body connections. It has 30mins floor routine and 6min balance/mental moves work at the end. An enjoyable workout that makes you feel strong.
This session requires a stable chair, theraband and some balance to get you moving well.
You will need a yoga block or something similar and some wall space that is an arm span in width. This session works on bone building, fascial work and some brain/body connections.
This routine is a good strong, all body workout. Everyone will get benefit from this class. The last 10 minutes has standing balance activities so have a stable chair nearby to hold, just in case!!
This is a sitting Pilates inspired routine. There is spinal mobility, core activation and glute work. The last 10 mins includes standing balances and co- ordination movements. Please have a stable chair to work with.
This is a slower paced class focusing on correct movement patterns. It does involve a theraband and has plenty of Fascial stretching to make you feel energised. The last few minutes include a finger exercise that makes us all think!
Using a chair for support and a ball for throwing we have some moves to help us gain better awareness of our body in space. It will increase your leg strength to help with balance.
Steady paced Mat class using a theraband focusing on good body placement. Last 10 minutes are about neuro plasticity and mentally challenging your movement patterns. Enjoy!
This class works at a measured pace with plenty of instructions about correct body placement. A full body workout with a combination of moves at the end to challenge your mind and body. Some hand weights or resistance is required for arm work.
Working the mind and body in this strengthening bone building Mat class. We have a small moving combination at the end focusing on balance, mind/body connections and mobility.
